At present, the waste plastics in China are mainly plastic films, plastic wires and textiles, foamed plastics, plastic packaging boxes and containers, daily plastic products, plastic bags and agricultural mulch. In addition, the annual consumption of plastic for automobiles in China has reached 400000 tons, and the annual consumption of plastic for supporting electronic and household appliances has reached over 1 million tons. These products have become an important source of waste plastic after being scrapped. It is understood that in 2004, the amount of waste plastic in China reached approximately 11 million tons.
